The questions guests ask most about online check-in.
Bulgarian law (art. 116 of the Tourism Act) obliges your host to register every stay in the national ESTI system. You fill in your details once, it takes under a minute — your host submits everything for you.
No. When scanning, the camera reads the machine-readable zone directly on your phone — no photo is uploaded or stored anywhere. Only the text fields required by law are sent.
EU/EEA/Swiss citizens: names, gender, date of birth and nationality — no document required. Citizens of other countries: additionally your ID document type and number (a legal requirement).
Immediately after you submit — the same page shows the codes and check-in instructions. If you left an email, you also receive a link to the page.
Reopen your page — it always shows the current codes (your host may change one, e.g. a key lockbox combination). If it still fails, contact your host; they see everything in real time.
Yes, and it’s normal. Many hosts keep the key in a code lockbox and change the combination after each guest while cleaning. For security, the code is shown only during your stay — it appears at check-in (not earlier) and disappears after check-out, so the next guest can’t see it. So even if you registered early, reopen this page on arrival (or the link from your email) and you’ll see the current code. If your check-in time has passed and you still don’t see a code, message your host.
The link from your host’s message is permanent — you register through it (also on a future booking). After registering you get a personal page for this stay only — the codes and instructions live there, keep it.
An app that opens the building entrance from your phone. You get usernames (one per guest) and a shared password — log in via the web app with nothing to install, or the iOS/Android app. The account works only during your stay.
Your host first — they know the property and see your reservation. For a technical problem with the system: info@onzi.eu or +359 892 277 155.
